When I got asked to be involved in this shoot it really was my ideal location for an autumn themed shoot.
Weddings in the Woods is a beautiful location in Minstead, New Forest. The drive to the venue was full of stunning tree lined country lanes with a huge variety of colours as the leaves change colour.
The venue itself has several locations and we decided to shoot in 2 areas - the ceremony location in the fir tree woods and the reception venue with the backdrop of the shepherds huts where guest can stay. No need to have to find a taxi in the middle of the forest!
Amelia the model had her natural wedding makeup done by Lauren www.laurenomua.com who prides herself on creating natural makeup with a boho edge.
Our photographer for the day was the lovely Lizzy Morris www.lizzmorrisphotography.co.uk who has warm, whimsical, fun and loving as her strap line on her website and I can definitely agree with that. She even took some behind the scenes photos of me and made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera.
Chrissy from www.willownest.co.uk created the boho vibe with her creative styling complete with pumpkins and the stunning peacock chair that I styled.
We decided on 2 looks for the shoot. The brief from Lauren was one look to be based around nude colours and the second very boho terracotta/orange. Here are the mood boards I created.
The peacock chair was created using the florals in the mood board along with dried bracken to created a really textural/natural look.
The terracotta/orange mood board I decided on after feeling that the backdrop of a fir tree woods and lots of green background would cope with the bright orange and I think it has worked really well. I wanted to do something that I haven't really done before and loved the chinese lanterns.
I love both looks and I think you will agree the pictures are amazing. I would love to know which one you like best.
If you are considering an outdoor wedding or an autumn wedding please do come and chat to me and lets see what we can create for you.
